WalterGC Light
Effective September 2, 2026
WalterGC Light is a workplace operations app operated by Exelar LLC for Walter General Construction. This policy describes the app data and privacy contract for the distributed WalterGC Light product.
Account and profile information may include your name, email address, phone number, optional profile details, language, text-size and appearance preferences, and app-access status.
Work records may include Project relationships, Tasks, Punch and Hours records, Photos, Chat activity, corrections, approvals, and audit history created through normal workplace use.
WalterGC Light uses location only for approved foreground workflows that need it, such as nearby Project discovery or point-in-time Punch evidence. The ordinary product does not intentionally collect a continuous background GPS trail.
When a consequential Punch action requires location evidence, WalterGC may retain the coordinates, accuracy, capture time, Project, and policy context needed to explain that action.
Photos selected or captured for WalterGC become work records and may be linked to a Project, Task, Department, Permit, uploader, category, caption, and visibility setting.
The app may record bounded file metadata such as selection source, filename when supplied, file type, size, dimensions, and file or selection timestamps. The original file may retain embedded device metadata. WalterGC Light does not currently separately extract or display photo GPS metadata.
Information is used to authenticate users, enforce access, coordinate work, maintain timekeeping and audit evidence, provide support and reliability, and deliver approved low-noise operational notifications.
Authorized WalterGC users may see records according to their current role, capability, and Project relationship. WalterGC Light uses Base44 for platform services including authentication, hosting, backend services, storage, analytics, and mobile delivery. Approved map/location features may send the minimum request information needed to the mapping provider used by that feature.
WalterGC Light is not an advertising product. WalterGC does not sell employee location or workplace operational data for advertising.
Workplace records may be retained when needed for legitimate operations, payroll, security, audit, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Different record types may require different retention periods.
Deleting your WalterGC Light account removes the Base44 app identity and active WalterGC app access. App-only profile preferences are removed or reset. Business, payroll, Project, timekeeping, safety, and audit records may remain when Walter General Construction has a legitimate or legal reason to retain them. Re-access after deletion requires a new account and explicit WalterGC approval.
If you cannot use the in-app account controls, contact Exelar Support for account or privacy assistance.
iOS and Android control permissions such as location, camera, photos, and notifications. WalterGC Light requests only permissions needed by the feature being used. You can change permissions in device settings, although denying a required permission can limit that feature.
